If your health or medical organisation is interested in becoming a Foundation receiving site, we welcome your application to join the network.
If your organisation has existing satellite equipment - or is willing to install equipment - and would like to become an official Rural Health Education Foundation site, we would like to hear from you. You will join more than 660 other health and medical locations around Australia which regularly access our programs.
The Foundation can organise the installation of satellite equipment, or you can organise the installation yourself. (Note that costs will vary depending on your location.)

Subsidies
The Foundation is pleased to announce that limited subsidies are available to rural and remote health and medical organisations which wish to join the network.
The funding has been provided by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing to build capacity in very remote locations. Relevant organisations are encouraged to apply. Complete the Satellite Site Subsidy Application Form May09 (PDF document; 180KB download) or contact us.
Health and medical organisations seeking funding will receive priority if they fall into one of the following two categories:
- Rural or remote communities with substantial numbers of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander residents, and at least one full-time health professional and no existing satellite access.
- Rural or remote communities where there are a significant number of health professionals and there is no Foundation site easily accessible or within a reasonable distance.
The Foundation may also fund organisations which do not fit into these categories, so please feel free to contact us if this applies to you.
