Please accept our invitation to join the Rural Health Education Foundation’s national Satellite Network.
High quality professional development can be both costly and time-consuming for rural health professionals (or for those living in a major city).
Having access to the Rural Health Education Foundation’s satellite network is a must for all health and medical professionals and organisations.
“The programs (are) immediately relevant to my clinical experience and situation out here in the bush.” - Dr John Gill, Ampilatwatja Aboriginal Settlement, NT.
Convenient professional health education
You can now have fully accredited quality professional development programs delivered directly to you without leaving your clinic, office, hospital, health service, aged care facility or even your home.
The Foundation has a satellite receiving network with more than 670 established public sites throughout all Australian states and territories.

Free accredited health education
All health professionals can access the Foundation’s television programs by joining the network and installing the required equipment.
All you need are a satellite dish, a decoder and an authorised “smart card”. Stress-free supply and installation of all or some of this hardware can be organised by the Foundation.
A once-off satellite access fee is then required to view regular professional development. There are no ongoing costs. As a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health of rural and remote Australians, the Rural Health Education Foundation is dedicated to bringing you the best of health and medical education, free of charge.
Satellite network access, site equipment and installation are likely to be fully tax-deductible for all bona fide health professionals (please consult your financial advisor).
Can you afford not to access this service?
Regular Health PD, CME and CNE
After you join the network, you will be able to watch the Foundation’s topical and instructive health and medical education programs regularly (see our list of upcoming programs).
The Rural Health Education Foundation is Australia’s health and medical education lifeline to the bush. Make the Rural Health Education Foundation your professional development partner and keep your skills and registration up to date.
Please contact the Foundation for further information.
The Rural Health Education Foundation is a tax exempt non-profit organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient endorsement from the Australian Taxation Office. Gifts of $2 and more to the Foundation are fully tax deductible.
Access to National Indigenous Television
As of July 2007, the National Indigenous Television (NITV) service and its wide range of Indigenous television programs is also accessible from most of the Foundation’s satellite sites. (Not all Foundation sites may be able to receive the NITV service due to service area restrictions.)
