Dr James French
Dr. James French (MBBS Hons, FRACS) is the Head of Breast Surgery at the NSW Breast Cancer Institute, located at Westmead Hospital. He holds various VMO appointments, and is Chairman of the Department of Surgery at The Hills Private Hospital.
Dr Tony Hobbs
Dr Hobbs is a rural GP obstetrician in Cootamundra, NSW. He chaired the external Reference Group developing Australia’s first National Primary Health Care Strategy. He is the immediate past chair of the Australian General Practice Network. He is the current chair of the Riverina Division of General Practice and Primary Health. Dr Hobbs has a strong interest in primary health care reform and has been involved in developing an innovative integrated Primary Health Care Centre in Cootamundra.
Associate Professor Judy Kirk
Professor Judy Kirk is the Director of the Familial Cancer Service, a service that provides genetic counselling and testing for families with a strong family history of cancer. Professor Kirk acts as an advisor to the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (clinical practice), the Breast Cancer Network Association (patient support) and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (research).
Ms Louise Koelmeyer
Louise Koelmeyer is an occupational therapist with over 19 years of clinical experience in both public and private settings specialising in breast cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema management in all areas of assessment, education, early detection and treatment.
Associate Professor Nicholas Wilcken
Nicholas Wilcken is senior staff specialist in medical oncology at Westmead and Nepean Hospitals, and Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Sydney, Australia.
He is currently Director of Medical Oncology at the Westmead Cancer Care Centre and the Co-ordinating Editor of the Cochrane Collaboration Breast Cancer Group. He is also closely involved in the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group and is Chair-Elect of its Scientific Advisory Committee.
Associate Professor John Boyages (Host)
Prof John Boyages (MBBS Hons, FRACR PhD) is the Director of the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute. This is comprised of 5 Programs: Breast Screening, Clinical Care, Research Education and Ray of Hope. Prof Boyages is also a Senior Staff Specialist in Radiation Oncology at Westmead Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga.
