The Foundation Programs

The Foundation makes certain television and audio programs (Programs) available using a national, satellite and other broadcast networks, the internet (via audio pod-cast, web-stream, electronic download or other methods) and other distribution technologies, such as DVDs.

While the Foundation strongly encourages wide use of the Programs, there are a number of restrictions on this use.

The Foundation (or its licensors) owns the copyright in all of the Programs (and in all copyright material included in all Programs).  Programs must not be copied, edited, duplicated, reproduced, communicated to the public, screened in public, sold, distributed, stored or used in any other way (including by posting materials on a publicly available website, or similar publicly available electronic or digital storage facility), without the specific written authority of the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer or his or her delegate, or unless permitted by applicable law.  Audio files available from the Foundation’s website may be downloaded and stored for individual use and study only.

No-one is permitted to charge for the use of or access to Programs or to change the content, including the covers, or to re-brand copies of the Programs.

The user is responsible for any payments required to third party collecting societies such as Screenrights ABN 76 003 912 310 (the Australian Audio-Visual Copying Society) for any use of Programs (whether arising because of the nature of the user or the use or otherwise).  The user must unconditionally indemnify the Foundation against any losses, liabilities and expenses the Foundation may suffer in relation to their use of Programs.

Foundation Learning Guides

The Foundation may provide downloadable learning guides (at http://www.rhef.com.au/programs/learning-guides), associated with Programs or as separate learning materials (Learning Guides).

The Foundation (or its licensors) owns all copyright in the Learning Guides.  Unless specifically authorised in writing by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer or his or her delegate, or permitted by applicable law, individuals and institutions may only download and reproduce Learning Guides at no charge by the Foundation on the following conditions:

  • the Rural Health Education Foundation is acknowledged whenever a Learning Guide is reproduced or otherwise used as copyright owner in the form on the relevant Learning Guide;
  • an individual may only download and reproduce them (and store one copy) for their personal use;
  • an institution may only download and reproduce them (and store one copy) for the bona fide, training and education of its staff, students and trainees, and the Learning Guides must be used and provided for these purposes without charge.

Any other copying, editing, duplication, reproduction, communication to the public, screening in public, sale, distribution, storage or use (including by posting materials on a publicly available website, or similar publicly available electronic or digital storage facility) is prohibited.
