Dr Brian Bowring
(MBBS FRACGP Dip RACOG FACRRM) has been a rural General Practitioner for more than 25 years in George Town, Tasmania, a small industrial rural community with a 15-bed acute care hospital, located about one hour north of Launceston. He has been Chair of GP North (the Division of General Practice, Northern Tasmania), Chair of Rural Workforce Support Tasmania and the Tasmanian representative on the Australian Rural Workforce Agencies Group.
He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Tasmania Discipline of General Practice. He has recently been appointed to the Medical Board of Tasmania.
Brian chaired the Rural Health Education Foundation between October 2002 and December 2010.
Brian served on the Board of Directors for 12 years.

Ms Helen Craig is Senior Policy Manager with MSD. In this role Helen is responsible for the development of public policy for MSD and the company’s interaction with a broad range of government and healthcare stakeholders. She also has a special focus on the quality use of medicines (QUM) and works in a number of areas where QUM is helping overcome some of the barriers to good clinical practice. Helen served on the Foundation board for 18 months. |

Ms Sara Pantzer has extensive public affairs and policy experience across a range of industry sectors, including finance, media, pharmaceutical and telecommunications, as well as legal expertise. She worked with Merck Sharp & Dohme for over a decade, and was involved with the Foundation since its inception.
Sara served on the Foundation Board for 5 years. |

Ms Rosmary Sinclair was recently Managing Director of the Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG). She has held various executive positions at Telecom Australia including National General Manager - Communications Industry Accounts: Director, Strategic Development at the ABC and Direct, Education, New Media and Export at Scholastic Australia. She is experienced in public policy and high -level strategic development and in representing the interestes of corporate users of information and communications technololgy.
Rosemary served on the Foundation’s Board for 8 months. |

Ms Margaret Norington was Assistant Secretary, Health and Community Strategies Branch, in the office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing in Canberra until she retired in March 2004. Margaret worked in Australian Government Health from 1992, in positions in General Practice Branch, Office of NHMRC and in the Department’s Executive Unit. In 1997/98 she was responsible for the secretariat supporting the Ministerial Review of General Practice Educuation and Training. Margaret served on the Foundation Board for 13 years. |
