Foundation CEO Don Perlgut moves on after eight years

June 16, 2011

Mr Don Perlgut, Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Health Education Foundation for the past eight years, has resigned from his role to pursue new career challenges.

Dr David Rosenthal, Chair of the Rural Health Education Foundation, said the Board of Directors want to acknowledge Don’s hard work and dedication during his tenure, and to wish him every success in his future endeavours.

“Under Don’s leadership, the Foundation has consistently strived to deliver on its mission of producing quality and accessible health education for remote and rural health teams,” Dr Rosenthal said. “The Foundation has increased both the quantity and quality of the educational resources it produces, and has added new methods for distributing those resources to a growing audience.”

Dr Rosenthal said the recruitment of a new CEO was already underway, and “the Board will take this opportunity to appoint a person to lead the Foundation in delivering on its new strategic plan”.

Mr Perlgut finishes mid-August. Ms Lesley Peters (Manager Finance and Administration) will assume the acting CEO role from mid-August until the appointment of the new CEO.
