Foundation seeks fundraising/marketing and educational project officers
September 6, 2010The Rural Health Education Foundation is seeking a Senior Project Officer: Fundraising and Marketing to work alongside the CEO in the Foundation’s Sydney office. It is also seeking an Educational Project Officer to work with the Foundation’s education team, based in the Canberra office.
Fundraising/marketing role has strategic importance
“There are some exciting opportunities for the funding and promotion of our educational television programs, so we are looking for an accomplished fundraiser and marketer to maximise the Foundation’s effectiveness in those two crucial areas,” says Rural Health Education Foundation CEO Don Perlgut. “Our ability to achieve our long-term strategic goals depends on us having best practice fundraising and marketing capabilities in-house.”
Flexible hours built into new position
“The person we’re seeking needs outstanding writing and client relationship skills, along with a strong desire to work at the nexus of education, health, medicine, digital technology, and rural and remote Australia,” Mr Perlgut says. “The role involves up to 30 hours of work per week, with the actual hours/days negotiable by arrangement, and we’re offering a 12-month contract with a strong prospect of ongoing renewal.”
Helping to Close the Gap
The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the Foundation’s efforts to improve Indigenous health outcomes and close the life expectancy gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
