Rheumatoid arthritis program inspires Australian Rural Doctor article
August 1, 2008
Australian Rural Doctor magazine has based a clinical treatment article on the Rural Health Education Foundation’s Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Joint Approach program.
How to Treat Rheumatoid Arthritis is a four-page pull-out section in Australian Rural Doctor’s August 2008 edition. It covers diagnosis, treatment options (including herbal treatments), treatment monitoring, supportive therapies and a patient case history - all derived from the Foundation’s television program.
About the program
Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Joint Approach, first broadcast on 18 March 2008, explores current prevention strategies, diagnostic methods, management options and the contribution of lifestyle factors to onset and ongoing management of rheumatoid arthritis.
The discussion-based program, funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, also uses case studies to illustrate key issues, and features expert panellists including Associate Professor Lyn March (pictured), Dr Geraldine Moses, Dr Cathy Marshall, Ms Jean McQuade and Ms Jacqueline Louth.
About Australian Rural Doctor
