Foundation launches additional learning guides for key programs

May 13, 2008

The Rural Health Education Foundation has produced more learning guides for selected programs, designed to augment the Foundation’s materials and increase useability of the television programs in a variety of health and medical education and training settings.

Expansion into text-based learning materials

Launching the additional learning guides, Foundation CEO Don Perlgut highlighted the fact they will provide additional activities and discussion triggers for health professionals developing their own education sessions around the programs. “We see this continued expansion as a natural progression, confirming the Rural Health Education Foundation as an important digital publisher of textual material which complements its traditional role as a producer and distributor of audio-visual content,” Mr Perlgut said.

Selected programs

The Foundation has launched four additional learning guides (in PDF format) for recent programs, including:

- 803 - An Ounce of Prevention: MBS Item 717, the 45-49 year old Health Check
- 718c - Improving Bowel Continence
- 718b - Continence: Children and Adolescents
