Rural Health Education Foundation DVD & video resources available free

The Rural Health Education Foundation is pleased to announce that it has several health education DVDs or videos available for free. The programs available free for bona fide health and medical professionals in Australia are:

• Another Shade of Blue - Depression in Older Australians Available Now - program funded by beyondblue – the national depression initiative – This program aims to assist health professionals to challenge some of the myths and promote a better understanding of depression to older people in their practice settings. It encourages health professionals to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and a positive approach to ageing.

• Continence Series Available Now - This series of three programs follows on from the Foundation’s previous Continence Series. The three programs included are Continence and Men’s Health, Continence: Children and Adolescents and Improving Bowel Continence.

The distribution of all programs has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. Each program includes a facilitator Learning Guide to assist in education and training. All programs are accredited or endorsed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, the Royal College of Nursing Australia, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association, as well as other organisations.
