Foundation releases 2006-2010 strategic plan
November 30, 2006The Rural Health Education Foundation has released a new strategic plan covering the period 2006-2010.
In his introduction to the document, Foundation Chairman Dr Brian Bowring predicted that the new plan would “guide the development of the Foundation to a new level of service delivery to (its) constituents.”
Strategic priorities
The plan covers the Foundation’s vision, mission, values, goals and stakeholders, and defines six strategic priorities:
- Increase the Foundation’s reach into key target audiences.
- Build the Foundation’s relationships with volunteers and other supporters.
- Consolidate and expand the Foundation’s funding base and operations.
- Build strategic alliances that help the Foundation produce and disseminate high quality, relevant programs.
- Promote the Foundation’s leadership in educational content quality and delivery.
- Maximise the intellectual capital of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Staff.
The plan also sets out the criteria by which the Foundation’s success will be measured.
It features a “Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats” (SWOT) analysis, an overview of Rural Australian demography and a breakdown of Rural Health Workforce statistics.
