Burn Injury program provides foundation for Australian Rural Doctor articles

July 20, 2006

Australian Rural Doctor magazine has employed content from the Foundation’s Burn Injury: Rural Perspectives broadcast in two of their recent How to Treat articles.

The Foundation program, first broadcast on 22 February 2006, was facilitated by 2005 Australian of the Year Dr Fiona Wood and featuredpanellists Dr Erik La Hei, Dr David Crompton, Ms Michelle McSweeney and Dr David Rosenthal.

The magazine used content from the program to create two How to Treat pull-out sections: Part One, featured in the July issue, focuses on the assessment and triage of burns; Part Two, in the August issue, focuses on the management of a burns victim.

Information about the program, which was funded by the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, and links to the webstreamed version, can be found on the Foundation’s Burn Injury program page.
