Rural Health Education Foundation CEO to address National Satellite Communications conference

The Rural Health Education Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Don Perlgut, will address a major Australian conference on satellite communications on Tuesday 6 December 2005.

The SatCom Australia 2005 conference will take place at Sydney’s Sofitel Wentworth Hotel from 5 to 7 December.

Don Perlgut’s presentation, scheduled for 10.40am, is entitled “Expanding your satellite communications network to enhance service delivery in rural and remote Australia“.

The presentation will cover a range of issues, including:

• Effectively managing the expansion of a satellite network.
• Analysing the need for expansion and securing funding for the project.
• Providing services to very remote areas – learning outcomes.

Other organisations presenting at the conference include the World Health Organisation, Optus, SBS, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the Department of Defence and the Australian Federal Police.
