Absolutely Hypertension program now available on CD-ROM
August 24, 2005The program Absolutely Hypertension: An Update on Assessment, Risk and Management, originally broadcast in November 2004, is now available for purchase on interactive CD-ROM.
About the program
The program examines the importance of the level of blood pressure as a major determinant of an individual’s absolute risk for cardiovascular events.
Participants
The expert panel is chaired by Professor Andrew Tonkin (Chief Medical Officer, National Heart Foundation of Australia), and also includes:
- Associate Professor Karen Duggan, Director, Hypertension Service, South West Sydney Areas Health Service & Chair, NHFA National Blood Pressure and Vascular Disease Advisory Committee [NBPVAC].
- Dr Mark Nelson, Senior Research Fellow, Department General Practice, Monash University, VIC & GP committee member NBPVAC.
- Professor Ian Puddey, Head of School, School of Medicine and Pharmacology, University of WA & Committee member NBPVAC.
- Dr Chris Mitchell, Rural General Practitioner, Lennox Head NSW.
