Timely program on Skin Cancer returns October 18
July 14, 2005The Rural Health Education Foundation has announced that its highly-regarded Skin Cancer: ‘Spot’ Decisions program will be re-broadcast on its nationwide satellite network on 18 October 2005.
The 90 minute program will air at 8pm Sydney time on Tuesday 18 October, and again at 12.30pm on Friday 21 October.
“As the days get longer and the sun gets hotter, the prevention, identification and treatment of skin cancer becomes even more important,” said the Rural Health Education Foundation’s CEO, Mr Don Perlgut, when announcing the October re-broadcast date.
About the program
Originally broadcast in November 2004, the program provides information for primary care providers on the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer for people living in rural areas.
Program objectives include:
- Increasing knowledge of issues and opportunities regarding the prevention of skin cancer.
- Enhancing diagnostic skills for early detection of skin cancers.
- Improving understanding of treatment options for skin cancer.
- Improving knowledge of issues relating to the follow-up of patients with melanoma.
