New timetable of satellite TV broadcasts released for July-November 2005
May 27, 2005The Rural Health Education Foundation has released its confirmed schedule of accredited satellite television broadcasts for the period July to November 2005.
Over this period there are 10 programs that can be viewed on release usually on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with repeats during Friday daytime.
All programs can be viewed any time afterwards via webstreaming on our website.
Each program is designed for GPs and other health professionals to assist in the delivery and maintenance of good best practice health care.
Included in the schedule are 3 pre-recorded documentary style programs dealing specifically with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander health issues. These include Injury Prevention, Maternal & Infant Care and Early Childhood Health. These comprehensive programs show the work and initiatives of individuals and groups in Aboriginal Communities around NSW, NT, QLD and WA.
In conjunction with Diabetes Week in July, the Foundation is repeating the Taking Action to Prevent Diabetes program and will be airing a follow up program in September on Type 1 Diabetes.
There are also two practical programs that will be aired live using case studies. These programs are titled Paediatric Gastroenteritis and Chronic Renal Disease.
The new schedule also includes an Immunisation Update program and a re-broadcast of the highly-regarded Skin Cancer: ‘Spot’ Decisions program in October.
