Rural Health Support Education and Training (RHSET) grants now available

The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (DHA) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested parties to undertake projects under the Rural Health Support Education and Training (RHSET) Program.

The RHSET Program aims to contribute towards recruitment and retention of rural and remote health workers through funding initiatives that provide them with appropriate support, education and training.

The Rural Health Education Foundation is pleased to support the DHA in promoting this valuable program and encourages interested organisations to apply for funding.

Project assessment criteria

Projects need to address the RHSET Program objective and one or more of the priority areas listed in the 2005-07 RHSET Funding Round Expression of Interest Guidelines.

Projects need to be innovative and focus on local health issues, and demonstrate a model for finding local solutions to local problems.

Projects must have a budget of no more than $140,000 and need to be finished within 24 months.
