Foundation program on New Lipid Management to air on 6 October
September 27, 2004The Rural Health Education Foundation will broadcast a program on New Lipid Management for GPs and other rural health professionals on Wednesday evening 6 October 2004.
New Lipid Management: Cholesterol Absorption Inhibitors and Statins in Clinical Practice will be broadcast live on the Foundation’s satellite network at 8.00pm in in ACT, NSW, VIC & QLD, 9.00pm in TAS, 7.30pm in SA/NT and 6.00pm in WA (& repeated in WA at 8.00pm WA time).
The program, sponsored by Merck Sharp & Dohme (Australia) Pty Ltd and Schering-Plough Pty Ltd, will be repeated a second time across the Foundation’s Australia-wide network on Friday 8 October.
Recent developments from the pharmaceutical industry have resulted in a new class of highly selective cholesterol absorption inhibitors.
This broadcast will help highlight the role that cholesterol absorption inhibitors can play when combined with statin therapy in clinical practice.
