Rural Health Education Foundation to screen major series on anxiety disorders in November

October 22, 2003

Working collaboratively with the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, the Rural Health Education Foundation has produced a three-part television series on anxiety disorders for General Practitioners and other health professionals.

Presented by Professor Gavin Andrews and Dr Lisa Lampe, this series consists of three one-hour programs: Panic Agoraphobia – A Treatable Disorder (Wednesday 5th November), Social Phobia – A Treatable Disorder (Wednesday 12th November) and Generalised Anxiety – A Treatable Disorder (Wednesday 26th November).

These programs will all be broadcast to the more then 590 viewing sites of the Rural Health Education Foundation’s rural satellite network at 8.00 pm (eastern daylight savings time) on the designated evening, and will be available from the Foundation afterwards for purchase on video and viewing via web-streaming.

The Anxiety series has been funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. For further information, please contact the Foundation’s office.
